Saikotei, a restaurant established in 1877 became a brand new sightseeing and citizen communication place for Yamaguchi city in 2004.

Paper works and storage items of Inoue Kaoru, Ito Hirobumi, Sato Eisaku is open to the public. Also, the room rentals are available.


Catering meals are available in the 100 tatami size hall which represents the feature of typical Japanese old ryotei restaurants.
* Large hall reservation is available between 17:00~22:00, Other rental rooms are available between 9:00~22:00 (reservation required)
*"Heiei Ouchi Gozen Bento lunch box" is available. This was the menu lord Ouchi prepared for Shogun (general).
